As Sr. Corporate Attorney, Employment Law, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of employment law and related compliance for SPS Commerce across its US and international jurisdictions. This will include partnering with Human Resources to provide day-to-day employment law advice; supporting all employment related policies and compliance initiatives; performing employment law and compliance due diligence on acquisitions and managing employment litigation. This role will require strong partnership with, and counseling of, Human Resources leadership and other key stakeholders; drafting employment-related agreements and policies; and, reviewing and advising on employment related regulations. This role will report to the Vice President, General Counsel. Does this sound like you? Careers don't just grow here, they're made here.  Day to Day Advise on employment matters, both domestically and internationally, including state and federal compliance (e.g., ADA, ADEA, FMLA, FLSA, and state/municipal equivalents), disciplinary actions, wage & hour issues, investigations, disability and other accommodations, and position eliminations. Actively monitor new laws, regulations and decisions affecting the substantive areas of employment law, including employment-related privacy regulations, and provide strategic advice to the Legal and HR teams, as well as other key stakeholders. Support Human Resources on a wide-variety of employment compliance programs and related reporting. Draft and negotiate employment-related agreements, including severance, new-hire documentation and other agreements. Draft employee-facing policies, handbooks and other resources, including checklists, processes, templates and forms. Support resolution of federal, state and local agency claims and charges. Support resolution of employment arbitrations and litigation matters, including the selection and management of outside counsel. Provide employment law support for acquisitions. Design and present training on employment law matters. Manage all employment related disputes and litigation matters. Minimum Requirements At least 10+ total years of relevant employment law experience, including 5+ years in-house employment law experience partnering with business, HR and legal stakeholders on employment law matters. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions Experience partnering with global stakeholders on employment law issues across multiple jurisdictions. Experience with employment law related diligence and transactional support on acquisitions, domestic and international. Prior management of outside counsel on employment-related matters Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal/relationship-building skills including the ability to communicate legal considerations to non-lawyers Highly responsive, flexible, collaborative and service-oriented attitude Capacity to multi-task and handle unanticipated situations and effectively work under pressure Good business judgment and sound decision-making Must have a JD degree from an accredited law school Must be a member in good standing of the applicable state bar (Minnesota) SPS Commerce offers a comprehensive package of benefits including health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, paid time-off, 401(k), health and flexible spending accounts, stock purchase plan and more.
