Job Description: Minnesota State College Southeast seeks an Accounting/Business Instructor dedicated to excellence in teaching who desires to become part of a creative, vibrant, student-centered learning community. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary and cross-cultural perspectives. Duties Include:  Participate in department and college curriculum development.  Deliver classroom, web-enhanced and/or online course instruction.  Conduct classroom research and other assessment/evaluation activities.  Mentor and advise students.  Participate in committee assignments and college-wide initiatives. Participate in department accreditation and review.  Engage in scholarly and other professional development activities. Required Qualifications: Education Requirement  Master's degree in accounting or a master's degree in any field with a minimum of 16 graduate semester credits (24 graduate quarter credits) in accounting or 
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or a CPA or CMA certificate.
Occupational Experience Requirement  Two full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in accounting. 

Recency Requirement  One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years. Teaching and Learning Competency Requirement  Preferred Qualifications: Credentialable in Business and/or Economics as per Minnesota State college credentialing standards; demonstrated experience and expertise in teaching online About: Minnesota State College Southeast is a two-year technical and community college that prepares students for a lifetime of learning by providing education for employment, skill enhancement, retraining, and transfer, to meet the needs of students and the community.
