DESCRIPTION Business, Electronics, Automotive, Technology & Solutions (BEATS) Finance is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This is an exciting opportunity to create and innovate on behalf of stakeholders across a wide-range of business categories.
The Senior Financial Analyst will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including the BEATS business and finance leadership teams, retail finance category controllers, business partners within category management and supply chain, and other FP&A teams across the Amazon Consumer business.
The successful candidate will have experience working in high visibility roles and be comfortable presenting to senior leadership. This role requires a self-starter with excellent business modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and deliver under tight timelines, and strong track record of influencing decisions using data. Additionally, communication skills are a must as the role requires regular interaction with various business units across Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
- Perform recurring financial reporting, ad-hoc project analyses, and financial modeling using a broad range of tools including MS Excel and SQL
- Drive core financial processes for the category including Annual Operating Plan, long range Strategic Plan, and Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews
- Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternatives
- Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management
- Identifies opportunities to resolve defects proactively. Improves, scales, or simplifies finance tools across teams and organizations
- Work with data source providers and technology teams to ensure that key data is timely and accurate
- Recommend, develop, and implement processes that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its profitability

Seattle, WA, USA BASIC QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
