Our purpose is what ties us to one another and gives meaning to our work.Job DescriptionThe Senior AA - Aerospace Research will:Demonstrate strong independent decision making and autonomy in support of your applicable leaders and their organizationsAct with discretion while performing a wide variety of operational and administrative activities that require handling of confidential information and business critical assignments in a professional business mannerInteract with senior management on behalf of GE Aerospace Research leadership, on site and in person at all levels across the business unitSupport operations and EHS activities as needed for the organization(s) assignedSet-up and organize meetings (including MS Teams and in-person) on behalf of the leaders, including producing agendas, briefing participants and distributing paperwork as necessary over multiple time zonesCoordinate arrangements for major meetings, customer visits, symposia, and conferencesProvide general office administration including ordering office supplies, supporting office equipment maintenance, processing facilities work requests, and assisting with visa processingOwn candidate and new hire processes for the research technology teams including interview scheduling, onboarding coordination, office readiness, computer and other asset requests, and other relevant topics critical to the new hire experienceCoordinate complex travel arrangements and process all expense reports for executive leadershipManage calendars and make all associated arrangements to ensure the smooth running of schedules for executive leadershipPrepare correspondence, invoices, distribution lists and other documents as requested; maintaining files, both electronic and hard copyWork in partnership with the Human Resources and Communications Leaders on organization charts and accurate maintenance of distribution lists and other forms of communicationTake on special projects, as neededExemplify and GE Leadership Behaviors – Act with Humility, Lead with Transparency, and Deliver with FocusQualifications/Requirements:High School Diploma or GEDMinimum 7 (seven) years of experience functioning as an Administrative AssistantExperience supporting senior leaders, executives, or equivalentExcellent collaboration, influence, written and verbal communication skillsProven ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude during times of change and uncertaintyHigh degree of flexibility including being open and responsive to feedbackRelentless desire to drive/implement standard work across administrative activities, policies and procedures to drive efficienciesDemonstrated expert level of proficiency in the suite of Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and web collaboration toolsDemonstrated ability to work well in a global team environment, must be flexible and adaptable to extend work hours as neededMust be willing to work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at a minimum, plus be flexible to work on site additional days to provide support for new hires, interviews, meetings, and other on-site activitiesLegal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; we will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job openingMust be 18 years or olderYou must submit your application for employment on the careers page at www.gecareers.com to be consideredDesired Characteristics:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited universityStrong desire to learn new skills to enable a higher level of supportProven organizational and project management capability through effectively handling prioritizing multiple tasks, anticipating what's next, and problem solvingHands-on experience driving lean initiatives or standardized workStrong demonstrated team-based skills – knows when to lead and when to followEstablished network across the GE Research community as well as the GE Aerospace businessStrong analytical skills, including the ability to compile data to drive decision makingExcellent written and verbal communication skills – effective from the shop floor to the c-suiteExcellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to inspire excellence and stimulate changeThe base pay range for this position is $50,000 - $100,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
