Full job description About BCE . Established in 1981, Burlingame Community for Education (BCE) helps Burlingame School District (BSD) sustain and enhance an exceptional public education for all TK-8th grade students.
About this Role The Operations Manager role is part-time, hourly and with an estimated workload of 20-30 hours per week(10-20 in summer), including some evening or weekend hours as well as over school breaks as needed. The Operations Manager manages all BCE operations including gift processing, donor data, reporting and system, compliance and legal, volunteer operations and other programs as needed
Responsibilities General
Manages year-round BCE operations including gift processing, reporting, donor data and systems Operational support of Executive Director, Board Members & volunteer outreach teams Prepare data pulls, reports and conduct analysis to support business operations Identify and implement system, process and data improvements to increase fundraising revenue, lower expenses and increase operational effectiveness of organization. Attend weekly staff meetings, board, strategic committee and other meetings as needed. Gift Processing
Conduct timely entry of all donations into Donor Perfect and ensure appropriate receipts and tax records are sent. Follow up with donors on outstanding pledges, failed payments and answer general questions. Handle and manage all incoming emails and calls to BCE main email and GoogleVoice Data/System Management
Oversee accuracy of all data, fundraising reports, and contact lists. Prepare data lists to support fall drive, Read-a-thon, events, communications, donor outreach, annual report, etc. Expert in using DonorPerfect CRM features and capabilities to support business needs Primary software: DonorPerfect, Greater Giving, Bidding for Good, Constant Contact, Google Drive, WIX, Mail Merge Financial Support
Partner to help prepare/monitor annual budget Prepare monthly reports for board meetings and endowment council meetings Support annual external audit Partner with Controller on bi-weekly Batch close process. Serve as back up to bookkeeping tasks as needed to support continuity of operation Qualifications 5+ years of operations, data analysis and/or reporting experience, non-profit is preferred Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Lover of data and systems with advanced google sheets and data analysis skills. Track record of leveraging technology to streamline and innovate Highly organized and detail-oriented with effective time-management skills Creative problem solver with a "can-do spirit" and ability to work independently without immediate supervision Excellent verbal and written communications skills Experience with relevant software systems Passionate about public education and the BCE core mission Knowledge of the BSD and community is desirable but not required To Apply Please email your resume to
