Job Description SummaryEnsure an uninterrupted supply of materials from the external repair network to support production and sales. Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.Job DescriptionJob Description SummaryEnsure an uninterrupted supply of materials to support production and sales. Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.Key Responsibilities Include:Stability of material sent to our repair vendor networkEstablish priorities, ensure proper material flow, while managing turn-times and estimated completion datesRescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)Daily Shortage Management – data input/updatesParticipate in vendor status meetings via TeamsInput Airway bills, track shipments to-and-from vendors, updating shortage trackers with current informationConduct daily walks on the warehouse floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues/problem shelvesSupport all lean activities, initiatives, and action workoutsComplete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlinesIdentify and report any quality or compliance concerns and support corrective actionsPosition may evolve to include other duties as required as the business needs changeRequired Qualifications:High School diploma and 1 - 2 years of buyer, supply chain, materials, production scheduling, or related business experienceProficient in Microsoft OfficePreferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related fieldProficient in MS ExcelSAP (or equivalent system) knowledge and experienceSix Sigma Green BeltWorking knowledge of MRPExcellent Interpersonal SkillsStrong problem-solving skillsAdditional InformationGE offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation.
