Position Overview: We are looking for a skilled Cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu. You will cook dishes that will delight our residents, employees, and guests with their taste and presentation. An excellent cook must be able to follow instructions in cooking and delivering well-prepared meals
Essential Job Functions: Understands and adheres to residents' nutritional needs as specified on their diet cards Remains alert to residents' changing dietary and health concerns Consults daily menus to determine which food will be cooked for the day Uses all kitchen equipment appropriately  Ensures that food is ready at the proper time Checks and records temperatures of food to ensure that it is served at correct temperatures Understand and follows food portion controls Assemble meal and beverages for healthcare residents and assists in delivering them when necessary Monitors buffet area and refills it as necessary Monitors residents to verify that they are eating the foods specified on their diet cards Uses good sanitation practices as described in HACCP standards Qualifications Must by 18 years old Must have High School diploma or GED Prefer one year or more of cooking experience Additional education in cooking or related field helpful Work a minimum of every other weekend and holidays Benefits of working as a Cook in Hesston, KS:
