Manager for Operations and Process Excellence ??School of Medicine, Stanford, California, United StatesNew??Administration?????3 days ago Post Date?????102776 Requisition # Stanford University School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is seeking a Manager for Operations and Process Excellence. Reporting to the Department's Director of Finance and Administration (DFA), the incumbent in this role will: Work closely with DFA and Chair to develop clinical, research, and teaching strategic priorities for the Department and help implement throughout Liaise with broader stakeholders to ensure success of Department strategic plans. In conjunction with Director of Finance and Clinical Operations, work with School of Medicine (SoM) and Stanford Children's Health (SCH) to develop novel approaches to meet clinical needs Work closely with DFA and senior staff to operationalize successfully funded plans within the Department Help implement process excellence projects, policies, and procedures to enhance Department capabilities Drive key process improvement projects within the Department to help increase efficiency of operations for functional areas (e.g. clinical finance and operations, central finance, faculty compensation, staff/faculty onboarding and offboarding) Help direct Department process excellence activities in coordination with Senior Staff and DFA. Work closely with external vendors to implement new tools and systems to improve existing processes and systems using a broad understanding of enterprise HR, operations, and finance tools Work collaboratively with senior staff and central unit teams to help ensure financial, strategic, and operational aims are met Independently to design reports and reporting systems for senior leadership and the Chair/DFA. Develop standard operating procedures for unique department financial practices after improvement ideas have been implemented. Support central, research, and clinical finance in ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting is distributed and will help correct any identified matters. Provide ad hoc financial reporting requests from donors Strategically map space moves for key faculty who may shift to research park Qualifications - External EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED): Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience, or combination of education and relevant experience. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED): Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to influence and motivate constituencies which could span multiple organizational boundaries. Demonstrated excellent planning, organizational and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to make sound business decisions using good business judgment and innovative and creative problem-solving. Demonstrated ability to manage financial, organizational and staff resources. Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to cultivate professional and business partnerships. Relevant subject matter expertise. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*: Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks. Frequently stand/walk, sitting, grasp lightly/fine manipulation. Occasionally use a telephone. Rarely lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh 11-20 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS: May work extended hours or weekends This position is open to candidates anywhere in the United States. Stanford University has five Regional Pay Structures . The compensation for this position will be based on the location of the successful candidate. The expected pay range for this position is $96,000 - $175,000 per annum. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location and external market pay for comparable jobs.
