The scope includes instrumentation-based setpoints that assure compliance to one or more safety or design limits.The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; but highly qualified (US based) remote candidates will be considered.Job DescriptionThe Lead Systems Engineerwillbe akeymember ofthe Fleet Systems Engineeringteamandberesponsibletointerfacewithmultiple Engineering disciplines,Business Managers, Project Managers,and customers.Inthisrole youwill be accountableformeetingfunctional, business, andbroad companyobjectivesin support of customers with operatingBWRplants. The Lead Systems Engineerwill be challengedwith complextechnicalissuesin a dynamic project environment. The Lead Systems Engineer will be knowledgeable in control system setpoint basis and become proficient in performing setpoint calculations in support of the BWRX-300 operation, safety analysis, design, and fleet engineering work.EssentialResponsibilitiesLead and conductcalculations,design analyses, evaluations, andverificationsfor various BWRsafety and non-safetysystem functions.Apply engineeringknowledgeand practical experiencetothe analysis,investigation, and solutionof complex design problemsand application issues.Develop drawings and specificationsto assureproducts canreliablymeetall engineering and quality requirements.Professionallyrespondto customerinformationrequests,emergent plantissues, and auditsWork proactivelywith existingBWR productline and quality personnelthrough processprocedure approvals, process qualification approvals, andnon-conformingmaterial disposition.Reviewproposalsand evaluateorderswith emphasis on knowledgeofBWR system design bases, operations, and maintenance.Supportinitiativesfor new orimprovedplantcomponents and system-level analyses.SupportGEH qualityrequirements definedin policies and procedures.BasicQualificationsBachelor's degree in engineeringorrelatedareafrom an accredited collegeor universityMinimum of 5 yearsofexperience workingwithNuclearPlant Safety Systems and ComponentsMinimum of 5 yearsof experienceworkingwithmulti-disciplined Engineering orOperationsteams onBWRNuclear Power PlantSystemsDesiredQualificationsIn-depth knowledge ofBWR reactormajor systems andtheir operationIn-depth knowledge of setpoint calculation standards and regulations such as: ISA 67.04.01 and RG 1.105.Proventechnical skills within projectmanagement environment.Proven oral /written communication andteamwork skills.CommercialNuclear Power Plant Systemsexperience, Professional Engineering License, orAdvancedDegreefrom an accredited college or university.Demonstrated abilitytoperformwhilechallenged bymultiple demandsand changing priorities.Stronginterpersonalandleadership skills.Excellentoral andwritten communicationskills,including customerinterfaceexperience.Demonstratedleadership skills,including aminimum of 2 years ofexperience as alead orlead contributor onmajor projects.Knowledge ofnuclear plantsystemsand analysestechniques, commercial plant outages, and nuclearindustry practices.Experience with design, evaluation, and operationof nuclear powerplant components.Eligibility Requirements:The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but qualified remote candidates will be considered.Less than 10% travel is required; however, if remote then selected candidate must be comfortable to travel to Wilmington, NC on a quarterly basis.The salary range for this position is $99-140k. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location.
