Growing outdoor equipment manufacturer in Seattle, WA area seeks a Controller to lead their Accounting team. Develop and lead an Accounting team of 5 Review financial statements, financial reports, and financial data according to GAAP, and variance analysis Assist CFO with annual budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis Manage monthly, quarter end, and year end close Accounting for various tax implications, and prepare state and local taxes Implement and oversee internal controls, streamline accounting processes, and utilize the accounting systems to create efficiencies Extract and analyze financial, cost accounting, and revenue data Partner closely with the CFO and leadership team, and external auditors Requirements for Seattle, WA accounting job: Minimum 10 years of experience and career progression Strong experience with accruals and GAAP accounting BA in Accounting or Finance required CPA or previous public accounting experience a plus Previous industry experience in Manufacturing, Retail, or Consumer Goods a plus Proven experience developing and leading a team Experience with a cloud based accounting system required Professional, driven, and excellent written and communication skills Up to $165,000 base salary DOE.
