About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Internal audit team which is a critical part of Alcoa's global finance function. While positioned within Finance, this role allows you to interact with and support key members of Alcoa's Management teams, resource units and locations creating an opportunity to develop broad knowledge of the Company beyond finance. 
Alcoa Corporation's Internal Audit department provides an objective and professional evaluation of internal control systems, recommends and advises on improvements in control systems, business processes and an efficient use of resources. This is achieved by reviewing locations internal controls and processes for compliance against corporate and legislative requirements on behalf of the Alcoa Corporation Audit Committee.
The internal audit group is looking for highly motivated leaders as it offers extensive exposure to different teams at Alcoa and to the company's financial philosophies and practices, as well as support in professional development. Several promotions from this department have occurred within the last 24 months as this is a highly visible role.
Key activities: Leading and executing audit assignments including SOX audits and facilitating and providing recommendations through written and verbal communication. Leading Internal Audit with planning, tracking progress, addressing issues and documenting the overall results in each audit. Actively contribute to the success of the Internal Audit Department initiatives related to continuous improvement, services' portfolio review, new technologies' adoption, internal tools deployment and support, etc. Participate in inter-department cross functional teams Participate in, and occasionally lead, compliance investigations and special projects Demonstrate increased audit skill levels to perform sophisticated audits and develop one or more 'specialty' areas or familiarity with specific technical accounting issues. Effectively develop an understanding of businesses/ functions to objectively assess controls Transfer knowledge in the form of suggestions to improve Internal Audit processes and help other team members to meet Internal Audit's mission. Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with all levels of management to strengthen customer relationships Analyze information and make recommendations in limited time frames Work across multiple regions: different businesses, cultures, languages, local practices and regulations Developing or modifying audit work programs as required and frequently providing functional guidance and direction when required. While much of our work is performed remotely or in office, some traveling between our sites, with opportunity to explore Alcoa's global operations including North and South America, Europe, and Australia may occur from time to time to conduct audits.
