NYRR produces 56 races per year, in addition to the TCS New York City Marathon, and additional events within each race. The events team is responsible for physical site management, volunteer management, hospitality and special events, safety& security, and managing our Warehouse and all race collateral.About the PositionThis position will work in direct support of the warehouse operations at NYRR events, and occasionally as needed within the warehouse operations.Job Responsibilities:Meticulous attention to detail in operating in a safe and efficient manner.Working knowledge of heavy machinery operations is a plus.Assist with equipment packing, load-in and load-out operations for NYRR events.Job Requirements:Experience:1 year of aggregated experience in a comparable position or role.Familiarity with types of equipment utilized in outdoor event environments.Education & Certifications:High School or equivalent level of education preferred.Skills and Attributes:Professional communication skills, Bilingual Spanish fluency a plus.Adaptable to a flexible schedule, must be able to work nights and weekends as needed in support of NYRR events.Attention to detail and a high degree of organization.Ability to work autonomously on tasks assigned without direct supervisionStrong reliable team player with the ability to maintain integrity, confidentiality and lead by example across multiple functions.Other Requirements:Valid, clean driver's license; commercial driver's license preferred but not required.Forklift experience preferred along with the ability to acquire certification within 30 days of employment.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for long periods of time.Must be able to lift 40 pounds.Hourly Rate: $22.00NYRR requires all employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19 unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
