This role is in - HYBRID.Enterprise Data Management is focused on implementing enterprise data & governance, delivering the firm's master data strategy, driving holistic access to data via our Lake, and enabling the business to deliver advanced outcomes for ourselves and our customers using AI/ML techniques.In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Responsible for leading the strategic planning, execution, and oversight of data driven programs aimed at modernizing data management process, technology, and capabilities across the organization. Overall strategic leader recognized in the whole organization as the spokesperson for delivery of governance enhancement initiatives. Communicates and promotes the design, delivery, and adoption of data governance best practices. Communicates and promotes the Data Governance Contract Lifecyle, initiates process improvements, and sets goals. Influences stakeholders. Provides guidance and support to team members as the assigned work is being delivered.Develops process documentation, including process interaction models, tooling requirements, key metrics, and controls. Works with the program delivery leads, supporting technology teams and customers to determine an understanding of the work and expectations required to be delivered by the team.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data governance, data architecture, data engineering, to ensure alignment and integration of data governance efforts. Drive cultural change and organizational adoption of modern data management practices, methodologies, and technologies in alignment with regulatory expectation and industry best practices. Plays a critical role in shaping the future of data management and enabling the bank to harness the full potential of its data assets. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Advanced degree in business management, computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required 2+ years of management experience; 5 years of performing a global role experience; 2+ years in IT Service Management role required; experience in the financial services industry is a plus.Strong project management skills with the ability to manage large scale, cross functional projects, and initiatives from inception to completion. Experience with governance structures, processes, and metrics to monitor progress and impact. Motivates analysts to maximize their contributions and encourage professional growth. Ensures the assigned process, its associated techniques and methods are regularly reviewed and audited, and that all of these are subjected to continuous improvement and remain fit for purpose. Develops and manages IT processes and controls in collaboration with enterprise process design team to ensure quality is maintained to meet business objectives.Demonstrated experience in leading data transformation initiatives within the financial services industry. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data management, data governance, or related roles. Proven ability to lead and inspire cross -functional teams and drive cultural change within an organization. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills are essential. Deep understanding of data management principles, practices, and technologies, including data architecture, data quality, and data governance. Coaches, trains and guides process stakeholders and team members. Provides technical expertise and advice to Technology and Business process practitioners and users. Influences process stakeholders. Defines new and redesigns existing ITSM processes, serves as subject matter expert to lower level analysts, reviews initial drafts produced by lower level analysts and takes them to the next level prior to review and approval by management. Identifies areas for improvement in the process and supporting technology. Works with the supporting technology teams and customers to develop user stories, develop test scripts, conduct testing, participate in migrations, deliver training, update relevant documentation, and provide early-live support when the process and/or supporting technology changes are introduced. Prepares and distributes ad-hoc and scheduled reports.Escalates issues to Technology leadership. Identifies areas for improvement in the process and supporting technology. Provides technical expertise and advice to Technology and Business process practitioners and users. Coaches, trains and guides process stakeholders and team members. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $81,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
