Job title:

Territory Sales Manager
Territory: Metro Chicago, Illinois (surrounding states)
Department: Sales, full-time
Reports to: VP of Sales & Operations (Chicago, IL)
Base Salary: $90-$110,000/yr. (negotiable based on experience)
Place of work: Remote/home office in territory
Bonus: 25-30% of base salary if targets hit, additional for vol. above target.
Hours: 40-60hrs/week

Job Summary:
This is a front-line Territory Account Executive position. Initial product training to be conducted in the head office, Elk Grove Village, IL. Residing in a commutable distance relative to the office location would be an advantage. The focus of the position is food, beverage, and pet food industries (but not limited to). Aim to achieve dynamic sales and profit objectives for the territory, which directly contributes to the overall success of the company. Other Duties: Sales team and customer support in order to generate profitable sales for the company.

The company's main business is modified food starch, soluble dietary fiber and other specialty ingredients.

Qualifications:
Min. 3 years' experience in sales (specialty ingredients for food and beverage industry a plus)
Bachelor's Degree or greater from accredited post-secondary institution (Food Science a plus)
Language proficiency (oral and written): English
Current knowledge of territory geographically and/or existing company relationships
Presentable: professional appearance
Travel for business as necessary, vehicle (personal), rental and air
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of products (Salesforce is a plus)
Available for extensive day and over-night travel (min 50% of time)

Responsibilities & Expectations:

Expand the overall territory customer base through direct customer prospecting.
·

Growth of organic sales within existing account base in territory
·

Preparing, maintaining, and executing strategic territory and account plans
·

Present territory updates and status at monthly and quarterly meetings
·

Manage business trips (day trips and overnight travel) for customer visits
·

Electronically file/record and manage customer correspondence in CRM, Salesforce.com
·

Seek customer feedback, including projects, technical, applications, and competitor info
·

Attend tradeshows/events within the territory and nationally as needed
·

Proactively support other sales team members
·

Self-directed learning to improve sales acumen, organizational & communication skills
·

Present creative approaches to existing challenges
