Seeking a Technical Product Owner (TPO) to lead our company's highest-impact, largest-scale delivery programs. Responsibilities include collection of business and systems requirements from internal and external customers, writing specifications, driving project schedules from design to release, and managing production launches and/or releases. Our team drives complex business problems, leveraging both company-wide platform solutions and designing them from the ground up where they do not exist. Role Responsibilities
The TPO is responsible for executing the design, product, and technical build, support, and maintenance of a key product or limited product portfolio, as well as the supporting technology capabilities and infrastructure that support that product in an Agile driven environment. Define and prioritize the product backlog based on input from stakeholders and technical considerations. Create applicable user stories and features Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, business, support, and others to ensure successful product delivery. Drive and/or contribute to the product roadmap and strategy, ensuring that solutions meet the needs of users and stakeholders Balance new product development and enhancements with maintenance, tech debt, and keep-the-lights-on needs. Act as a subject matter expert on applicable technologies within the team, staying up to date with the latest trends and developments in the field. Communicate product vision, priorities, and progress to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Ensure product team follows enterprise processes to secure and maintain product funding. Work to resolve any blockers or issues with product funding. Design and develop methods and tools to measure team performance striking a balance between customer or technology-based innovation, quality, speed to market, Agile team velocity, and cost. Lead and facilitate adoption of industry leading practices in areas of innovation, customer experience, agile product delivery, CI/CD, and cloud/microservices/container architectures. Regularly provide review and guidance to product and other leaders on execution related responsibilities. Participate in quarterly program increment (PI) planning and other Agile sessions and ceremonies. Support team response to customer, user, and/or leadership escalations as appropriate Create all necessary product and team-related documentation and artifacts Assist with ongoing prioritization and resource allocation to ensure scope and outcomes are delivered. Create clear and measurable goals for team aligned to company, department, functional area objectives. Foster strong, collaborative relationships with internal, customer, user, and cross-functional teams at all levels for both self and product team. Required Skills & Qualifications 5-8+ years of Technical Product Owner (or Product Manager) experience in an Internet-related program or applications environment (or equivalent). Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent). Ability to analyze business requirements, write specifications, scope technical requirements, manage multiple software development efforts, drive rigorous testing, and coordinate product launches and releases. Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional, cross-organization teams to negotiate and assemble project plans, secure commitments on deliverables, and resolve blocking issues. Demonstrated passion for understanding ambiguous, complex problems and driving high-quality, innovative, and robust technical solutions. Experience building solutions in distributed systems and/or developing large-scale web and mobile applications. Experience analyzing user experience design and developing high-profile products with intricate customer experience workflows. Experience with agile/iterative development and program management methodologies. Exceptional stakeholder management and executive presentation skills. Skilled and experienced with agile and scrum ceremonies and feature/story management. Ability to work collaboratively with others and navigate complex decision-making. Ability to collaborate well with engineers, designers, and business partners. Excellent communication skills; verbal, written, and listening. Preferred Qualifications Experience with mobile platforms, mobile app development, and mobile device management (MDM) such as Jamf Technical experience in modern mobile, cloud and/or web-based application development.
