Technical Development Manager - Compliance TechnologyWe are seeking an experienced Development Manager to lead our growing Compliance Tech team at Millennium. The Development Manager will be responsible for overseeing and implementing compliance measures, policies, and procedures in alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both compliance and technology. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the leading hedge funds in the world, we offer a fast-paced environment with exposure to world-class financial technologies and global markets.Join our team and play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining the integrity of our hedge fund operations.Key Responsibilities:Lead a global team of 5-10 development resources responsible for delivering a mixture of proprietary and commercial software solutions.Collaborate with business stakeholders, development teams and business analysts to identify requirements, prioritize tasks and manage expectations.Be a key driver in leveraging Agile/SCRUM ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives to continuously improve software delivery.Lead and support regulatory examinations, audits, and inquiries, including the preparation of responses and remediation plans.Qualifications/Skills Required:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance within the financial services industry, preferably with a focus on hedge funds or another asset management firm.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.5-10 years of experience in software development with a focus on compliance/regulatory reporting.Knowledge of .Net technologies (open to Java or other high level programming languages) and distributed systems architecture.Some exposure to short selling, restricted and grey lists, REG-M, 13F, eComm monitoring or other similar compliance related controls.Knowledge of enterprise databases including but not limited to: MS SQL Server, Sybase, PostgreSQLExperience building low latency, high throughput systems.Knowledge of CI\CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.Understanding and experience with dependency injection, unit testing and mock libraries.Knowledge of cloud technologies, specifically AWS.Experience working in Agile/SCRUM software development organizations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and develop practical solutions.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and managing projects to successful completion.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and effectively prioritize competing demands.Exposure to RPA tool such as Xceptor a plusThe estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
