Headquartered in San Diego, California, with additional offices in the Americas, Europe, and Asia Pacific, the company employs over 8,000 people worldwide.Meet the team:The Sr Director IT Business Partner will report to the CIO and will be a trusted advisor and the primary IT point of contact to business line executives and managers. The IT Business Partner (ITBP) has the overall responsibility to serve as the strategic interface with the Commercial, Technical Support Function and Business Transformation Team for the purpose of business technology strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management, and relationship management. Where you come in:Establish the business relationship link between the Commercial including after sales service support Organizations and IT at the executive level.Partner with Senior Leadership to identify areas of greatest impact and determine technology solution(s) to execute.Development and execution of an IT roadmap aligned with clientele's priorities and long- term strategic imperatives.Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing solutions and develop strategies and/or new proposed tools/applications for improvement.Work collaboratively across and within the IT Enterprise in planning, designing, developing, and deploying new applications and enhancements to existing ones.Lead a team of IT professionals, driving a high performing team culture aligned to business outcomes.Ensure technology remains in compliance with security and data privacy policies, standards, including accessibility, vulnerability, and website inventory management.Provide leadership with high value strategic consulting and guidance through key IT initiativesLead development and upkeep of the Commercial organization's technology roadmaps in support of their strategic ambitions. Continuously share knowledge of new technology opportunities and risks that can help drive competitive advantage, improved efficiencies, and effectiveness for Commercial teams.Partner with Commercial leadership and other key stakeholders to continuously review and prioritize their project portfolios.Work with peers in Global IT to define and address business limitations and establish best practices for the implementation and adoption of new systems, including relevant training standards.Educate Commercial business partners on IT project intake and governance processes and standards.Communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant project information back to appropriate teams within IT, regarding business unit requests for projects and initiatives.Maintain the total cost of ownership of enterprise applications and cost and scalability with the growth of the company.Budget for planned needs and present justification for all unplanned expenses by assessing the business need and the Return on InvestmentEnsure department understands and complies with quality standards and requirements as documented.Continue to innovate by assessing new technology and reviewing the performance of existing systems so that the organization remains on the leading edge of innovation and continues to benefit from the technology investments.What makes you successful:Working in a global organization that has presence in all three regions – Americas, EMEA and Asia PacificWorking with a globally distributed, matrixed teamsWorking with a broad array of technologies – CRM, Ecommerce, Cloud operations, SaaS and integration suites.Implementation experience to enable digital customer experience journey through the full cycle of acquisition, order management and service.Specific technologies include MACH (Microservices, API-first, Cloud and Headless) components (GKE, React, Ampliance, Commerce Tools), Google Vertex AI, Salesforce Sales, Service and Marketing componentsWhat you'll get:A front row seat to life changing CGM technology.Learn about our brave #dexcomwarriors community .A full and comprehensive benefits program.Growth opportunities on a global scale.Access to career development through in-house learning programs and/or qualified tuition reimbursement.An exciting and innovative, industry-leading organization committed to our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.Travel Required:25 to 50%Experience and Education Requirements:Typically requires a Bachelors degree in a technical discipline with 17+ years of industry experience.13+ years of years of successful leadership experience in relevant industry.Flex Workplace:Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs.
