Our Data Infrastructure team is seeking a passionate, energetic and curious Principal Software Engineer to join our organization. Data & Engineering is a new diverse team, responsible for providing world class Oracle Advertising platforms, products, and services. If you are curious, courageous, love to see happy internal stakeholders, can analyze and solve a broad spectrum of problems related to Applications, Data, Developers, Telemetry, and Systems, we want to connect.
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will help adapt or replace our existing platforms, while ensuring the highest levels of system insights and stability for Oracle Advertising. You will be responsible for defining the control-plane for both the cloud and edge (including permissioning, networking, provisioning, and automation).
Responsibilities + Define, develop, and support Oracle Advertising's Edge and Cloud control-planes
+ Mentor members across the team, to help establish and drive an inclusive culture
+ Be a technical lead and direct complex, cross-functional projects
+ Analyze and understand internal stakeholder use cases, transition those into outcomes
+ Drive the team towards building a scalable and performant Cloud management platform
+ Direct root cause analysis of critical business and production issues
+ Own and drive best practices and design for tasks within the teams
+ Partner with our security organization to provide secure world class software
+ Be personable and strive to deliver a world class experiences
Required Experience + Prior Senior-level Software Engineering experience at a startup, or mid to large sized corporation
+ Prior experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) (provisioning, terraform, lifecycle management, etc.)
+ Track record of designing, building, and maintaining software at scale
+ Proficient oral and written communication skills.
+ Python and Go programming language proficiency
+ Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems
+ Willingness to act as the subject matter expert, tracking technology/industry trends, and to provide data-driven reasoning for technology paths
