Job Title: Lead Project Manager - Structural Steel and Miscellaneous Metal Fabricatio nJob Description: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Shop Foreman to join our team. The Shop Foreman will oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing facility, ensuring efficient production of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB) while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols.Responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate shop floor activities, including fabrication, assembly, and finishing of PEMB components.Assign tasks to shop personnel and ensure work orders are completed on time and according to specifications.Monitor production schedules and adjust workflow as needed to meet project deadlines.Conduct regular inspections of equipment and machinery to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.Train and mentor shop employees to enhance their skills and productivity.Maintain inventory of raw materials and supplies, and coordinate with procurement to replenish as needed.Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.Collaborate with engineering and design teams to resolve technical issues and improve manufacturing processes.Implement quality control measures to ensure finished products meet customer requirements and industry standards.Communicate effectively with management and other departments to provide updates on production status and address any issues or concerns.Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in metal fabrication or manufacturing management is preferred.Willing to relocate to the Little Rock area or already living within commutable distance - company will help relocate the right candidateMinimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role within a metal fabrication or manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in PEMB fabrication.Strong leadership and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.Knowledge of metalworking techniques, equipment, and tools used in PEMB fabrication.Familiarity with quality control processes and procedures.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed.Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.Benefits:100% paid health insuranceCompetitive wage or salary paid on experience401k matching program* PTO* Dental & Vision Insurance for more information - all inquiries are confidentialAll qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.GPAC (Growing People and Companies) is an award-winning search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States since 1990.
