Overview & Responsibilities
Role and Responsibilities

·Total Customer satisfaction both internal and external customer bases
·Prioritize daily order and quote activities of the GS America's estimations team; coordinate additional support with other departments, managers and supervisors as required.
·Provide analysis and compose reports to the senior leadership as required.
·Serve as a focal point for internal communications for the departmental needs.
·Consult with customers to resolve questions, concerns and conflicts. Negotiate pricing, discounts, shipment terms, and terms and conditions of orders.
·Initiate research into cost, selling price, standard and emergency lead-times for quotations and orders in response to customer inquiries.
·Support Global Sales by providing Market Level Pricing by analyzing the in-house competitive data.
·Supervise and lead the Estimations department (inside sales team) in delivering superior service that exceeds the customers' expectations. Maintaining a high level of on-time delivery of proposals.
·Development and implementation of new policies and procedures that assure completion of department and company goals.
·Provide direction and coordination of the daily activities of the estimations department in accordance of business needs in partnership with outside sales and operations.
·Capable of performing all functions associated with an Estimator position, if required.
·Interact directly with the customer and or operations on a regular basis by phone, e-mail and if required, in person
·Lead estimations team in developing repair and field service pricing philosophy, set pricing guidelines and requirements. Coordinate all White paper submission for approval.
·Work with the GS Operations management team in the development and achievement of department goals.
·Actively work to improve all processes relating to customer service and customer satisfaction that can increase performance and drive increase in sales.
·Set sales targets for estimations team including methodology to promote up selling opportunities for new and existing repair or field service opportunities.
·Develop costing philosophies integrating the repair and cost management processes of the aftermarket business.
·Develop and maintain proposal templates
·In partnership with the Sales Engineer's maintaining of the CRM database with the latest customer date and proposal submission information.
·Support Global Sales by providing Market Level Pricing by analyzing the in-house competitive data
·Mentor, lead, coach and develop the less experienced team members and interns. Facilitate the experienced team members (known as the 'Experts') to mentor, lead and coach the less experienced team members.
Background and Experience
·Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience
·Minimum ten years' experience in a service center, field service or manufacturing environment, experience in turbomachinery preferred.
·Work experience in estimating, finance, accounting, sales or manufacturing, preferred.
·Understand of the balance of internal cost structures, market value, and margin goals
·Project Management experience required to keep the quotations and cost build-ups: on schedule through tasks, within budget, minimize risk, maintain quality and establish priorities effectively
·Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and inspection reports
·Knowledge of repair and field service. I.E. process associated with machining, welding, blading and mechanical disassembly and reassembly.
·Incumbent must possess superior analytical skills, above average product knowledge, excellent computer skills and the ability to coordinate multiple projects. This position is the interconnection between Sales and Operations.
·Ability to work under pressure to meet set goals, budgets and deadlines.
·Proficient with word processing / spreadsheets (Microsoft Office) and ERP programs

(Oracle)
·Excellent supervisory skills, a self-motivated individual that requires minimal amount of direct supervision
·Ability to deal with various personnel matters
