Security Analyst Location Charlotte, NC (East Forest area) : Hendrick Automotive Group - HIC Location: 6030 East Independence Blvd, Charlotte, North Carolina 28212 Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Implement and upgrade security measures and controls Protect digital files and information systems against unauthorized access, modification or destruction Investigate security incidents using SIEM and other tools Perform and manage vulnerability scanning and assessments Maintain and monitor security access Perform routine security audits and reviews Conduct internal and external security audits Analyze security incidents to determine their root cause Recommend and install appropriate tools and countermeasures Conduct and administer security awareness training Coordinate security plans with outside vendors Stay up-to-date with knowledge of threats, vulnerabilities, and security trends Maintains an organized, clean and safe work area Demonstrates the Company's Core Values Complies with Company policies and procedures Observes all Federal, State, Local and Company safety rules and regulations in the performance of duties. Certificates and Licenses: Valid Driver's License An industry-standard cybersecurity certification Desired Technical Skills: Familiarity with common vulnerabilities, threat vectors, and penetration testing techniques for hosts and infrastructure Understanding of social engineering techniques Experience with and understanding of SIEM tools. Forensics and investigation techniques to determine how and why security incidents occurred Troubleshooting skills on various operating systems and platforms Knowledge about identity and access management (IAM) solutions and SSO solutions Experience and knowledge on endpoint protection technologies and techniques TCP/IP, computer networking, routing and switching - an understanding of the fundamentals: the language, protocol and functioning of the internet ISO27001, NIST 800-53, or CIS familiarity - and specifications of policies and procedures that include legal, physical and technical controls Basic competency in scripting or object oriented program language(s).
