Title: Sales Deficiency Manager Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Sales Deficiency Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of deficiency cases, employee management, working closely with our technicians, territory representatives, and customers. This position requires industry knowledge, strong organizational skills, and the ability to motivate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. In addition, you will manage and process quotes for deficiencies within a specified territory. Your responsibilities will include evaluating tech submissions, providing detailed quotes, working cross functionally with other departments, and ensuring seamless communication with customers to drive sales growth. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, must be comfortable making daily calls, ability to close a sale, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet monthly sales targets. Key Responsibilities: Deficiency Case Management: Oversee the management of deficiency cases to ensure sales Quotas are being met. Ownership of Deficiency: Encourage and facilitate a sense of ownership among the sales team, ensuring they are actively engaged in the project and addressing any questions or concerns that may arise. Collaboration: Foster collaboration between different offices and departments to ensure a smooth and coordinated workflow in managing deficiency cases and quotes. Inside Sales Leas: Work with the inside sales team's on goal and activities, primarily focused on service repairs, in an effort to achieve their monthly sales quotas. Motivate, and guide the team towards achieving their goals. Provide feedback on staff performance to the Sales Manager Ensuring timely team member responses to cases submitted from technicians, addressing complex issues elevated by staff members. Minimal Travel: This role involves limited travel, with a primary focus on managing deficiency cases and assisting with inside sales operations. Evaluate and quote all deficiencies submitted by Technicians during inspections within the assigned territory. Review and approve submitted tech cases daily. Prepare comprehensive quotes including materials, labor, truck charges, sales tax (where applicable), manufacturer surcharges, and a detailed description of services provided. Contact third-party distributors/vendors to obtain pricing information for labor and materials as needed. Communicate with customers via phone and email and follow up on every proposal sent. Ensure timely follow-up within 24/48 hours after sending quotes to customers. Manage approved deficiency opportunities by closing them as wins and creating necessary work orders for scheduling. Collaborate with Operations Teams to schedule and ensure timely completion of work without the need for return trips. Meet monthly sales quotas both individually and as a team. Compensated with a base salary plus commission structure. Pursue outstanding backlog quotes Supervisory Responsibilities: Team Management: Supervising and leading the team of five individuals responsible for selling service repairs and managing deficiency cases coming from our technicians. Acting as a liaison between the Sales Seps and Sales Manager. Qualifications:
. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software preferred. (Salesforce preferred.) Previous experience in inside sales, customer service, or related field preferred High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred. Fire Safety/ Industry knowledge is a must Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
