Required Qualifications: BS/BA and 1 years of related experience or equivalent combination a combination of education and work experience to equal five (5) years Preferred Qualifications:
Understanding of laboratory protocols and necessary steps to ensure compliance with protocols Ability to initiate and process multiple projects simultaneously Experience with tissue culture and routine lab-related tasks Prior experience maintaining accurate documentation of procedures and experimental data from projects in a logical and organized manner Experience reporting effectively on the progress and direction of individual projects Experience in multi-parameter flow cytometry Experience with FACS-based sorting, and magnet-based cell fractionation Previous experience and comfort with handling mice in conventional and/or specific pathogen free (SPF) conditions The primary role of this position will be to assist in the generation and analysis of human CAR CD8 T-cells for in vitro and in vivo studies. Duties will include:
In vitro generation of human CD8+ iTreg and CD8+ cytotoxic lymphocytes (35%) Isolation of lymphocytes from human blood products Perform and maintain cell culture-based experiments Perform routine quality control of T-cell cultures Culture and maintained cell banks (15%) Assess phenotype and functionality of cultured T cells using FACS analysis (10%) Assist in the coordination and planning of T-cell culture experiments (10%) Generate lentivirus for T-cell transduction (5%) Assist with set-up of xenogeneic mouse experiments as needed Accurately records experiments and results (10%) Analyze and synthesize data from experiments (5%) Routine lab maintenance (10%) Lab management and maintenance, including preparing common reagents, waste removal, supply inventory, inventory, as well as other day-to-day laboratory cleanliness activities as needed Applications must be submitted online.
