Organizes and supervises the work of the Radiation Therapy Department. Responsibilities would include overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, developing policies, and fostering a patient-centered care environment. Additionally, manager will be responsible for financial management, quality improvement, and maintaining effective communication with healthcare professionals and stakeholders. Assists Oncologist in projects and communication between other staff members. Serves as the primary relief person for the Therapy Department. Performs treatment planning and constructs custom cast blocks.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy Technology or related area.
2. Registered R.T.(T.) by the A.R.R.T.
3. Previous dosimetry experience.
4. Strong verbal and written skills.
5. Comprehensive Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulatory standards required.
