Responsibilities:
Coordinate and supervise pre-operation examination, when applicable. Examine and verify cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and facilityComplete paperwork daily, including payroll, mail, inspections, etc.Resolve problems and issues with products and employees as they ariseCommunicate frequently with USDA inspectors regarding product, employees, safety, etc.Ensure compliance to HACCP plan for all productsEstablish and maintain shelf-life requirements, finished product specifications, leaker testing, formulation weights, temperatures, and other necessary standardsCoordinate and participate in product displays for tours and other eventsDirect, motivate, monitor and evaluate quality assurance technicians. Conduct interviews and hire new techniciansConduct sampling of finished product and raw materials for bacteriaMonitor and ensure proper procedures, safety, and cleanliness of production employeesEnsure completion of all QA dutiesTest new equipment for quality aspectsThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. Minimum 3-5 years in a food manufacturing plant or similarCollege diploma or University degree; or an equivalent combination of related experience and educationPrevious supervisory/leadership experience requiredExtensive knowledge and technical skills in a variety of QA and production jobs, and in supervisory positionsAbility to make quick, informed decisionsStrong interpersonal skills and able to handle conflictExcellent communication skills with high level of professionalism and discretionManage multiple priorities and dynamic deadlinesFlexible and positive in a fast-paced environment with efficient time managementMust be able to work overtime and weekends Physical Demands:
