Participate and coordinate with real estate due diligence efforts on potential or new land banks and properties, including: Evaluate opportunities to design & build new data centers by working with key stakeholders: Corporate Real Estate, Connectivity, Power & Construction teams. Develop entitlement & permit timelines for new properties and data centers. Develop initial target investment budgets on design and construction for new properties. Lead design, entitlement, and permit activities for key projects as assigned, new greenfields in particular Ensure designs are consistent with QTS approved standards & evaluate areas where standards should be improved Provides leadership, resources, and consultation for design teams for the generation of construction documents for interior environments, promoting adherence to QTS interiors standard design intent and execution Coaches design and construction teams on project documentation and delivery compliance with the company design standards set forth by the QTS Standards Committee Supports continuous improvement of company design standards and drives efficiency of standardized property development deployment Create and communicate updates on development program & project status on a monthly basis suitable for executive level reviews. Effectively present information in a manner to support efficient decision making Collaborate with Sales Engineers and Product teams to aid in custom deal solutioning for prospective clients within the applicable schedule and budget for an assigned location Establish and maintain relationships serving as liaison with key QTS stakeholders Create and build relationships that enhance QTS's ability to be a leader in creating the World's Most Valuable Data Center Real Estate Work with the internal development team to enhance project management processes and protocols Assist with special projects as needed Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or equivalent professional experience Five or more years of professional experience in commercial construction practices and procedures, including management of Lump Sum, Construction Management @ Risk, and Design Build project delivery methods from conceptual development through procurement to close out Experience with Microsoft Office suite, specifically PowerPoint for use in communicating program updates to executive level, and Excel to create and maintain site program & individual project budgets Preferred Qualifications
MBA, Masters in Engineering, Management, or related field desirable Experience with delivery of mission critical data center facilities Extensive experience with management of MEP trades Knowledge Skills and Abilities
