Position: Trans Project Estimator SrLocation: Roanoke, VAPurpose: Electrical/Substation estimating experience and background.
Job seniority: mid-to-senior level
Responsibilities
• Develop or oversee the development of conceptual estimates for assigned projects• Interface with various groups to identify, scope, and track estimate efforts• Establish policies and procedures for allocating risk based contingency• Implement project estimating methods and standardized processes• Provide technical direction and guidance for estimate development• Coordinate training and development of estimating employees
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or related field• Minimum of 4 years of experience in power generation and/or transmission system estimating• Strong knowledge of current market pricing trends and construction execution for capital projects• Excellent communication skills• Experience with estimating software packages, Primavera a plus
