POSITION SUMMARYThe Project Controls Specialist must take a strong "hands on" approach to the financial and schedule management on the projects. The Project Controls Specialist must ensure that the reporting systems are consistent with company and project requirements. The Project Controls Specialist provides direction, coordination, and supervision of all Project Controls activities, including, accurate reporting of actual versus forecast project costs, billings, schedules, and risks to inform project leadership, company and client as required.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOBEssential FunctionsUtilize and improve Wyatt Field Service Company Procedures Manual for effective and efficient fulfillment of requirements from customers, regulators, employees and Wyatt's values, policies, objectives, and targets.Incorporate positive interpersonal skills when communicating or interacting with customer, subcontractor, vendor, craft, and Wyatt personnel.Manage all assigned Project Controls employees assigned to the project daily.Serve as Project Controls Specialist for specified projects, coordinating financial, cost control, scheduling, and reporting requirements to support the Project Manager.Assess the qualifications of the assigned project controls employees, train assigned employees as required, and conduct periodic performance reviews.Develop, manage, improve, and enforce Project Control policies with emphasis on cost reporting, change management, project performance measurements, schedule compliance, variance evaluation, and project forecasting.Coordinate and compile input from team members for progress, scheduling, and cost tracking evaluation and reporting.Prepare project reports and performance charts from ongoing projects and highlight areas of concern to management. Report to Project Manager and upper management, immediately, any negative trends discovered during the reviews.Facilitate new project set-up to ensure reports are created using standardized formats.Monitor RFI logs and Change Order logs of ongoing projects for timely and comprehensive submission of all reimbursable activities.Manage company utilization of Viewpoint and continually seek ways to improve and expand use of the software.Provide invoice support including review of monthly invoices and all required invoice backup; track invoice payments; monitor release of subconsultant payments per contract terms.Assist with change management support, including maintenance of project change log.Lead procurement and subcontractor invoice review process; obtain PM approval, track approval process and track payment coordination.Track budget, expenditure, and contract term for all subcontracts.Manage Wyatt and client expectations to maintain contractual compliance.

POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSEducation:Proficient in Project management / Project Controls and Primavera.Experience:Preparation, processing, and reconciliation of payroll.Preparation of Construction Project Cost reports including current and forecast costs.Experience with an integrated Financial and PM software.Ability to understand and adhere to contract language or both client and subcontract agreements.Preparation of Construction forecasts and dashboard reports for management.Ability to review, understand, and correct construction schedules such as P6.Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Access or similar databases.Minimum ten years successful Construction Project Controls experience.
Minimum three years in a supervisory position.
License(s)/Certification(s) Required:Candidate must possess a valid state-issued driver's license.
