Major teams within CBS include Finance, Information Technology, Human Resources, Enterprise Support Services, Brand Marketing and Communications, Business Development, Knowledge, and Ethics & Compliance. The Ethics & Compliance function helps protect EY from risks that arise from its professional practice. Ethics & Compliance teams provide coordinated advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, regulatory and risk management issues, as well as dealing with claims, and any queries regarding the organization's ethics. Job Summary: As an Americas Ethics & Compliance Data Team Assistant Director, you will be an integral leader in the firm's overall Ethics & Compliance Program efforts, through: Enabling and driving the management and continuous improvement efforts of the EY Ethics & Compliance Programs through effective execution and assessment of data and trends Consultation with leaders across the Ethics & Compliance teams, program stakeholders, and governing board to support framework management activities and areas of improvement Oversight of the Ethics & Compliance Program for alignment with the framework to help foster a culture of integrity and accountability, and mitigate regulatory and legal risks Identifying and implementing efficiencies across the ethics, compliance, and monitoring programs and initiatives You'll work independently, with periodic feedback. Key Responsibilities: Operate as a business partner with Ethics & Compliance leaders to help leverage data from monitoring and investigations to improve the programs and identify targeted areas of focus Based on compliance and ethics data outputs, identify, initiate, and support efforts to improve our compliance program, culture of integrity, and employee engagement in doing the right thing Use your extensive experience of developing data-based monitoring and analysis to lead efforts to identify key data sources, data use, and strategies to ensure that our programs are effective at identifying elevated risks of compliance and ethics issues based on transaction and activity data Improve EY's Ethics & Compliance program by partnering with data analytics specialists throughout the firm Recommend ways to improve process(es), and/or develop new approaches, calling on your Ethics & Compliance and business experience Lead a process team or drive a process initiative. Help subordinates and colleagues meet their deadlines and encourage input from and learning between all team members. This includes assigning work and reviewing performance Resolve conflicts on complex or non-standard issues related to Ethics & Compliance monitoring and oversight. This will involve utilizing technical, service line, or core infrastructure knowledge Establish and implement project plans, including goals and measures. Follow up on all approved changes and enhancements to the process(es) Keep documentation and information on process(es) up to date Leverage data to identify trends and drive strategy in embedding ethics into the rhythm of business with personal accountability aligned to a shared vision Provide actionable tools and messaging to various levels of leadership within the firm so our people understand their role in our ethical culture Liaise between clients and members (including leaders) of Risk Management and various other functional areas within the firm (e.g., Center for Business Knowledge, Finance, IT, Strategic Sourcing) Manage business relationships to meet or exceed expectations, by listening to their needs Gain an understanding of the key requirements of firm policies and regulators' rules Keep abreast of emerging knowledge, trends and lessons learned. Create and deliver training presentations to communicate new developments (and their impact) to clients and Ethics & Compliance team members Develop relationships and build a network of people within your team and across the firm Train and mentor other Ethics & Compliance staff, to familiarize them with firm processes and policies, and to enable them to handle more complex issues Manage process team members or coordinate virtual teams who complete process initiatives. Skills and attributes for success: Ability to think outside of the box and learn new approaches to modeling business problems with a focus on the practical application of the results High degree of personal ownership and accountability, with the ability to prioritize workload and deliver credible outputs within strict deadlines with minimal supervision Proficient technical abilities and the use of analytical and project management methodology to execute projects Understand the need for change initiatives and act as a positive advocate for necessary changes as it relates to the process Analytical approach to evaluate existing processes to offer innovative ideas for improvement and allow for operational efficiency and effectiveness Help colleagues learn new tasks and build a cohesive team through strong management and leadership skills Highly effective communication and presentation skills Astute attention to detail To qualify, candidates must have: Familiarity with use of data analytics to address Ethics & Compliance initiatives Understanding of Department of Justice guidance for Ethics & Compliance programs and the requirements for the use of data Proven ability to be an effective leader and manage a team of direct reports and processes Ability to deliver frank messages to executive leaders within the firm Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks with flawless execution Ability to be flexible and the confidence to take the initiative Strong research and communications skills Proficient technology skills (Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Power BI, Power Query, application tools such as Dataverse a plus) Highest level of ethics and integrity Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience A minimum of 10+ years of directly related experience What we offer We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The salary range for this job in most geographic locations in the US is $101,900 to $184,900. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122,300 to $210,100. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Under our flexible vacation policy, you'll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
