Utah State University Institute for Disabilities Research, Policy & Practice (IDRPP) is seeking a Program Assistant III to join the Technical Assistance for Excellence in Special Education (TAESE) program. As a member of our team, you will assist with conference and event coordination and implementation, and design and produce graphics for conferences, events, and professional development activities.

Assist with conference and event coordination and implementation 45% Assist with the coordination, planning, and implementation of TAESE conferences and other events.
Provide remote meeting support.
Negotiate and establish venue contracts for events, as needed.
Travel to conference locations and manage onsite conference details, as needed.
Coordinate conference and event evaluations, including the preparation of after event evaluation reports to be sent to clients.
Build and maintain event websites to client specifications, including implementing appropriate branding. Websites include general information concerning the event, multi-step registration processes, and detailed fee/contract structures.
Design and produce graphics for conferences, events, and professional development activities 30% Design graphics as needed for TAESE projects and conferences. Compile and request bids from printing companies for outside printing jobs, then negotiate and work with them to produce finished products. Provide printing and materials support for all in person conferences and training events, including printing name tags and conference signage. Assume quality control responsibilities for documents, packets, and printed materials with a focus on the oversight of formatting and design work produced by support staff. Provide office support 25% Collect content and create a quarterly TAESE Connections Newsletter to be distributed digitally and housed on the website. Ensure that all outgoing materials have went through the TAESE proofing process. Collate, copy, ship, and provide quality assurance for outgoing materials. Perform other office duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Four years of experience; or an associate degree/technical training plus two years of experience; or a bachelor's degree; or an equivalent combination of education plus experience. The Institute for Disability Research, Policy & Practice (IDRPP) is Utah's federally designated University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD). The IDRPP opened its doors in 1972 and was the first UCEDD program in the U.S. to focus on the educational and social needs of children and adults with disabilities. Funding Statement The Institute for Disability Research, Policy, & Practice is one of the largest research and outreach centers at USU, and we are largely funded through grants, contracts, and fee-for-service programs. All staff positions at the IDRPP are contingent upon funding, and all senior staff at the IDRPP with graduate degrees are responsible for helping to generate funding to support our operations and growth.
