Utah Film Center is currently seeking a Salt Lake City-based Personal Assistant (PA) for its Founder and
Board Chair: a high-profile and highly accomplished Film Producer and Philanthropist. This position
reports directly to the Utah Film Center founder but liaises with Utah Film Center's fiscal sponsorship
program.
This position is an opportunity for an enterprising candidate who is interested in making valuable
connections within the film industry, participating in the Sundance Film Festival and other film festivals,
working behind the scenes for film projects, and being an integral puzzle piece for larger causes that
impact our world.
In this role, you will need the problem-solving and resourcefulness skills required to manage the various
business and personal matters for Utah Film Center's Founder/Board Chair. The ability to work on a
variety of projects, while maintaining complex schedules and self-composure, is essential in this position.
The ideal candidate for this job is hungry to learn, highly organized, detail-oriented, thrives working
autonomously, and can quickly escalate priorities. Some day-to-day duties you will oversee include
juggling travel logistics, e-mail and contact management, finance account management, scheduling, and
contracts and funding for film production. Seasonal duties can include organizing film festival housing
logistics and arranging small screening events.
This position is a remote, full-time, exempt position and includes paid holidays, paid time off, and a
medical and dental plan. Must be located in Salt Lake Valley and be able to occasionally commute as
needed. Must be flexible with working hours and attend to urgent matters as they arise.
Salary: $50,000/yr + benefits
About You ? You exhibit professional-level verbal and written communication skills
? You demonstrate emotional intelligence and humility
? You have technological expertise or are fluent with Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Adobe Acrobat, and
Apple/iCloud devices
? You have excellent organizational and time management skills and are detail-oriented in your
tasks
? You're a resourceful problem-solver who takes initiative in finding a resolution or discovering a more efficient
process
? You uphold professionalism and maintain composure while under pressure
? You are adept at maintaining confidentiality – regarding personal finance accounts; contracts and intellectual
properties; and details of one's personal life
? You have 2+ years of experience in an executive or personal assistant role
Primary Responsibilities ? Managing calendar and booking travel and appointments
? Assisting with film-related contracts and correspondence
? Coordinating lodging and other details during the Sundance Film Festival
? Liaising with Utah Film Center's Fiscal Sponsorship program to prioritize film projects funding
? Performing basic troubleshooting for hardware and software issues (e.g. issues with Apple devices, email, etc.).
? Keeping track of requests from others, special events, and film festival voting deadlines
? Strategically managing business and personal travel plans, reservations and logistics
? Tracking extensive guest lists for large-scale events
? Posting to various social media accounts, particularly regarding film campaigns
? Overseeing financial matters, such as banking, deposits, pending bills, signing off on wire transfers, and
submitting charitable donations
