Uncle Remus SFC in Chicago, IL is looking for prep staff to join our strong team. We are located on 5611 W Madison St. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged. Applicants May Be Tested for Illegal Drugs.
Summary In coordination with Supervisors and Managers, prepare all walk-in, call-in and catering customer orders in a timely manner and to Uncle Remus quality standards.
A Table worker must be able to perform all job functions of the position, including customer service, product preparation and back-line food preparation.
Responsibilities Ability to do repetitive work Ability to prepare pre-cooked to finish-cooked items according to Uncle Remus guidelines Ability to meet time constraints of prepping, wrapping and sending orders out according to Uncle Remus guidelines Must produce consistent pre-cooked product Knowledge of cooking procedures Ability to communicate with other cooks and Uncle Remus staff Knowledge of kitchen equipment Knowledge of safety rules for kitchen equipment Knowledge of where and how everything is stored Label and date all food stored & rotate food as needed Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. repetitively Flexibility with job duties Obtain / have county, city, state and federal certifications Ability to work all shifts and holidays Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to assigned shift Follow opening, closing and shift-change procedures Ability to work in a fast paced and hot environment Ability to multi-task Stand and walk for long periods of time Report to managers when something is broken or needs repair Keep a clean and tidy workspace Knowledge of how to properly clean/maintain fryers Be able to self-motivate in work environment Able to follow written or verbal instruction We are looking forward to receiving your application.
