Job Overview:
As a Cash Posting Specialist, you'll be an integral member of our Payment Posting team, responsible for the meticulous reconciliation of daily cash transactions within our hospital revenue operations. You'll work closely with our Supervisor of Payment Posting to uphold the highest standards of billing accuracy and financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Process incoming cash payments and reconcile them with customer accounts on a daily basis.
Ensure accurate application of all received cash, maintaining meticulous records of transactions and discrepancies.
Collaborate with team members to resolve payment-related issues promptly and efficiently.
Prepare detailed reports on payment activity and trends for management review.
Assist in training and mentoring new team members to ensure a cohesive and skilled workforce.
Adhere to industry regulations and organizational policies to uphold ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum of three years of experience in revenue cycle functions, preferably within a healthcare or financial services setting.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting principles.
Excellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA certification.
Experience in a multi-site or complex healthcare environment.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
