Position Summary Under the general review of the Network and Datacenter Operations Section Chief/Unit Supervisor, this position performs advanced work for the enterprise network infrastructure. This position is responsible for the integration and connectivity of very complex, disparate distributed network communication infrastructure that involves multiple hardware and software platforms, multiple operating systems, and advanced, emerging technologies such as network switches, advanced network configurations, routers, and wireless configurations. This position is responsible for the research, development, and support of core network infrastructure and tools to allow for all communications between IT assets connected to the state network.
This position supports network hardware, software and services, as well as fiber infrastructure used to connect State agencies and partners to the statewide enterprise network and critical services running in the State's data centers and on external networks, such as cloud services. The position also will participate in projects from genesis through implementation and completion. The incumbent will frequently work on projects and tasks that require strong customer service skills, good communication skills and the ability to work within a team approach. The ability to function with an enterprise perspective and to work with technical staff, DET management, and other entities' staff on technical design and business issues is critical.

Salary Information Starting salary for the IS Enterprise Network Services Specialist (07-33) will be between $33.49 - $50.00 an hour, depending on applicant qualifications. A 12-month probationary period is required. Pay for current state employees will be in accordance with the State Compensation Plan.
Job Details Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct fingerprinting and background checks on applicants prior to selection. DOA does not sponsor work visas.
