Koch Fertilizer Enid is the largest Nitrogen Fertilizer Plant within Koch, and one of the largest in all North America. We are seeking a Mechanical Planner/Coordinator to join our Capital Project Construction Team in Enid, Oklahoma .
The Mechanical Planner/Coordinator is responsible for the mechanical planning and estimating of capital projects up to $15M and for assisting the Construction Manager and Project Managers with craft specific technical details required to install, commission, and start up equipment installed as part of a project. The Mechanical Planner/Coordinator will work as part of the construction team to aid in coordination of contractors ensuring equipment is installed per spec and per all quality requirements.
This role will report to the Enid Capital Project Construction Manager and will be an integral member of the Construction Services Team. The role will work closely with project managers, the scheduler and construction coordinator to ensure the mechanical scope of work for a project is properly designed, planned and scoped to ensure projects are delivered in a way that work and are consistent with high quality standards.

What You Will Do Provide planning support to the construction team and develop labor hour estimate for all mechanical project scopes of work that support a prioritized execution strategy Develop and provide cost estimates for assigned scope of work Review construction drawings and provide feedback based on technical expertise Conduct field walkdowns to ensure compliance with best practices, codes, and construction drawings for mechanical crafts Coordinate with the Turnaround team to ensure all pre-turnaround work is ready and handed off for execution to the TA team Provide support to the TA team as an Additional Work Scope (AWS) planner during TA execution Provide commissioning support and technical expertise for project work Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) 3+ years working in a chemical plant, manufacturing or refinery environment Experience in the mechanical field
Physical Requirements Ability to climb ladders in excess of 100 feet Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions What Will Put You Ahead Technical or trade school certifications 5+ years working in a chemical plant Knowledge of current pipe codes and best practices Knowledge and/or experience of planning and estimating Experience working with Microsoft Project or P6
