Manager On Duty

Job OverviewLooking to move up in the company? Look no further! We are looking for someone to be the manager-on-duty Sunday and Monday nights as well as Saturday mornings. The Manager-on-Duty is responsible for assisting with the business performance of the establishment, paying specific attention to the FOH staff. Is physically present on the restaurant floor and in the kitchen to monitor the quality of the service and the food. Requires experience in various facets of the restaurant industry or related field, or a degree in a related field. General Responsibilities Respond efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints.Maintain high standards of quality control and health and safety.Monitor operations and initiate corrective actions.Encouraged to attend regular weekly management meetings.Provide leadership and guidance for service staff.Coordinate with the AGM and GM to investigate and resolve food quality issues and service complaints.Supervise and direct the activities of staff to make sure that customers have a pleasant experience through prompt and polite service.This position does represent the company in handling complaints, arbitrating disputes or resolving grievances, as a Manager-on-Duty, you will be expected to use your discretion and independent judgement to work with guests to ensure satisfaction. A Manager-on-Duty will have to take initiative and get creative in resolving guest challenges and involve a supervisor, if previously outlined methods appear unsuccessful.
