As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting general and preventative maintenance efforts within the facility. You will be responsible for executing routine, preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities for our manufacturing equipment and support machinery. Additionally, you will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair control and non-control based production equipment, contributing to increased efficiencies, reduced downtime, and improved product development.
Responsibilities: Execute routine, preventive, predictive, and reactive maintenance activities for manufacturing equipment and support machinery. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair control and non-control based production equipment. Identify problems and propose solutions for existing equipment, recommending specific manufacturers' components for new equipment or upgrades to standardize parts throughout the facility. Collaborate with the Maintenance Leader and the Production Unit to purchase new, rebuilt, or upgraded equipment components, managing project scope, timelines, budgets, and resource scheduling. Maintain an organized work area and ensure it is cleaned after each job is completed. Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and maintainability. Document control, including work orders and inventory control. Assist in developing preventive, predictive, and repair tasks and procedures. Adhere to safety regulations and practices, including lockout/tag out and required personal protective equipment. Utilize inventory control systems for spare parts, labor reporting, maintenance requests, preventive maintenance work orders, and purchasing. Effectively communicate issues to all appropriate personnel to ensure information is shared with relevant parties. Provide support in line changeovers and set-ups as needed by the Production Unit. Observe the requirements of the Fleet Safety Program when operating a vehicle for work purposes. Embrace and promote continuous improvement goals and values, following the policies, procedures, and requirements of our Quality Management and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in an electro-mechanical Maintenance Technician position. Proficiency in operating, programming, and troubleshooting PLC's. Ability to work from a ladder or elevated platform. Valid forklift license maintenance. Solid skills in pneumatics, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Ability to read and understand blueprints. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
