Full job description Position Title: Maintenance Technician – 3rd Shift
Wage: $28.00-$30.00 per hour
Shift: 3rd
Hours: 10:00pm-6:00am
QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Maintenance Technician at a company in Franksville, WI. This is a 3rd shift, direct hire position.
Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Comply with all company policies and procedures, including practicing safe work habits, maintaining organization, safe food defense and good manufacturing practices. Practice safe work habits always. Turn in maintenance work orders to supervision for needed repairs. Complete daily and weekly equipment clean-ups. Be proactive in the maintenance of equipment. Demonstrate ability to parallel all rolls, make all required settings and adjustments for optimum equipment performance to manufacture quality products. Demonstrate ability to teach others in all qualification requirements and proper maintenance procedures. Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot programmable controllers and troubleshoot and repair all A/C and D/C drives and motors, along with control systems. Demonstrate ability to use all aspects of the maintenance software program. Demonstrate ability to plan and schedule maintenance work, assign work to other employees according to their abilities and limitations. Follow up all work in order to ensure repairs and work are performed safely and properly. Maximize the utilization of equipment by maintaining the machinery to run at available capacity and speed. Complete all paperwork neatly, correctly, and in accordance with company guidelines. Help maintain good housekeeping in work areas. Willingly work all necessary hours and shifts. The Maintenance Technician is backed up by other Maintenance Technicians. Additional duties may be assigned by management. Maintenance Technician Requirements: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Possess the ability to motivate and maintain effective working relationships with staff and partners. Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Ability to successfully work to reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required of this position. Provide own tools necessary to perform maintenance tasks. High school diploma or GED. Prior work experience in the corrugated industry preferred. Two years of experience as a Maintenance Technician in manufacturing preferred. Able to read and follow work instructions and shop copy information. Able to read a tape measure and micrometer with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to apply concepts of high school math. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or more concrete variables in standardized situations. The individual must have a working knowledge of the following: · Equipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation. · Product layouts and production specifications · Product quality specifications · Quality standards.
