Candidate will be responsible for managing North American Loan Operations Quality Control for one or more high risk processes, such as payments, pricing, invoicing, onboarding, or reporting. This is a newly established function which provides in process (pre-completion) reviews and approvals for selected processes through a risk based approach. Key Responsibilities:This role is for a Quality Control Operations Lead, who will look after the following:Manage the daily workflow of 'in process' quality control requests for one or more high risk functionsComplete in depth reviews of in process transactions to ensure the highest level of accuracyIdentify potential errors for discussion and review real time prior to completion of the transactionServe as a subject matter expert in the designated high risk functions, providing expertise to the team more broadly as neededSupport end to end lifecycle controls and thinking, challenging existing processes to improve as neededEnsure timely reviews of all requests to maintain service levels to the business and external counterpartiesFollow-up on the timely remediation of errors and observations identifiedManage the daily, weekly, monthly reporting metricsDevelop and implement timely action plans as neededBuild partnerships with key functional owners to find solutions and encourage open dialogue and innovationPartner with other quality related functions to identify and implement best practicesKnowledge/Experience:A proven track record with at least 5+ years of financial Operations experienceExperience and knowledge of end to end Institutional banking loan cycleand solid understanding of direct/indirect lending products and practicesKnowledge of lending platforms like Loan IQ, ACBSExposure in reviewing credit agreementsPayments / reconciliation cycle experienceRegulatory concepts and other key areas of risk within the operations and data environmentsKnowledge of policies, procedures, and compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulationsAbility to perform reviews or processes and identify issues/ gaps.Skills:Ability to manage control practices demonstrating a risk-based approachExhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.Possess the ability to work with various levels of management and build and maintain effective working relationshipsStrong influence/negotiationskills.Ability to proficiently use MS Office products, particularly Excel andPowerPointQualifications:0-3 years of experienceA business related degree would be advantageous, however less relevant than extensive 'in situ' experienceBasic knowledge of Business Processes, Systems and Tools used in the Loan ProcessDemonstrate understanding of Loan Processes, Procedures, Products and ServicesGeneral awareness of managing, preparing, and reviewing loan documentationAble to identify, mitigate, manage, resolve, and escalate risks and issuesAwareness of risk types, policies and control measures and processesComply with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and adhering to PoliciesEducation:Bachelor's/Universitydegree or equivalent experience------------------------------------------------------Job Family Group:Operations - Transaction Services------------------------------------------------------Job Family:Loan Documentation and Processing------------------------------------------------------Time Type:Full time------------------------------------------------------Primary Location:New Castle Delaware United States------------------------------------------------------Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:$78,080.00 - $117,120.00In addition to salary, Citi's offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
