MWC is a state of the art cheese and whey production facility in St. Johns, MI. MWC is a joint venture between Glanbia Nutritionals, Dairy Farmers of America (DFA) and Select Milk Producers Inc. Glanbia Nutritionals is a science-led, innovative producer of dairy and non-dairy solutions, including cheese, nutritional and functional nutrition solutions and flavor solutions.
We are hiring a Leadership Training Specialist who will assist in developing, delivering, and implementing the MWC training and learning curriculum for MWC team members in an organized and strategic approach. This Leadership Training Specialist is located onsite at our state-of-the-art plant!
Responsibilities include: Participating in interviews for MWC candidates.Review existing training practices and materials to determine effectiveness or change for improved results.Train new and recently promoted leaders, per leader program, to prepare them for effective and impactful leadership.Work with the MWC team and COEs to design and implement a strategic training plan for Vacation Reliefs,  Assistant Team Leaders, Team Leaders, and other team members as assigned.Collaborate with the COE team to deliver and coordinate corporate training initiatives and projects.Collaborate, create, deliver, and facilitate monthly training programs to improve leadership, development, coaching, legal knowledge, and skills to improve employee retention, site engagement, and team culture.Conduct audits to ensure supervisors are performing tasks according to standards operating procedures (SOP) and trained leadership tools. Collaborate with Site Leadership to build and proactively manage high-potential talent.Analyze needs and develop individual development plans for underperforming team members.Participate in continual professional improvement, including but not limited to staying up to date on the latest training technology and approaches to ensure the quality of training delivered to the team.Develop and maintain status reports and presentations of the leadership development participation and success.  Provide support for performance improvement activities.Coordinate, schedule, and maintain records for New Employee Orientation, Next In Line Leadership Training, and New Leader Bootcamp. Maintain documentation of employee certifications and all information necessary for training documentation.Utilizes GPS processes, driving zero losses, and upholds the culture of Southwest Cheese non-negotiables.Complies with all applicable food safety regulations and mandates (Safe Quality Foods, Food and Drug Admin, Pasteurized Milk Ordinance) Skills and Education: Bachelor's degree and 1-5 years of experience within training Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
