Role: Lead QA role Employment: 6-month Contract (Potential for FTE) Location: Scottsdale, AZ (looking for locals and neighboring states. ) Job purpose: Lead QA Engineer with a passion for Quality Assurance and deep hands-on experience leading a team of QA engineers in the planning, execution, and reporting of manual and automated tests. This role requires the ability to solve real world problems as it relates to legacy platform transformation using Microsoft Solutions that align with business goals and processes.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field Minimum 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on manual and automation Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, best practices, tools, and processes. Proficiency in API, Web, Mobile testing principles and tools Experience in testing Microsoft .NET web applications, Dynamics 365 CRM, and Business Central Finance system. Experience with a variety of test automation technologies, including but not limited to; Selenium, Cucumber, RestAssured, and JMeter Experience with API testing tools such as Postman or SoapUI. Proficient in an object-oriented language, preferably C# or Java Proficient in Azure DevOps (ADO) practices Boards, Repos, CI/CD pipelines, Test Plans and Bug Tracking Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. Responsibilities: Responsible for Design, develop, and execute test strategies, and test plans.
Design and implement test cases, test scripts and executing testing in an Agile/Scrum development environment to ensure the quality of software releases.
Conducting functional, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing to identify and report defects, ensuring timely bug resolution.
Performing root cause analysis to identify and address the underlying causes of defects and quality issues.
Developing and maintaining test automation frameworks and scripts to increase efficiency and reduce manual testing efforts.
Collaborating with DevOps teams to integrate testing activities into the CI/CD pipelines, enabling continuous testing and deployment.
Participating in product design and development to ensure that products are designed with quality in mind.
Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle.
Provide mentorship and guidance to QA engineers on testing best practices and automation techniques.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, C# or similar.
Experience with Web, Mobile apps testing activities.
Perform the integration and system testing activities.
Experience with API testing using Postman or SOAP UI.
Experience and proficiency with SQL/database testing including Data Migration.
Knowledge of Dynamics 365 CRM Sales and Business Central Finance platform.
Work cooperatively in a team environment. Remain flexible on changing workloads.
Liaising with on-shore and off-shore development teams to deliver solutions
