As a Lead Software Engineer , you will bring your technical skills to a hospitality company with an award-winning culture. On the Property Platform team reporting to the Director Software Engineering, you will support projects including playing a pivotal role in overseeing the entire software development lifecycle, from design to testing.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.
What your day-to-day will be like: Design testing strategies to ensure the quality and reliability of software products. Help enhance existing software by proposing upgrades and improvements. Monitor project metrics, analyze data, and make informed decisions based on performance indicators. Identify and address software bugs collaboratively. How you will collaborate with others: Coordinate tasks among team members, ensuring a smooth project execution. Provide guidance to team members, fostering collaboration and productivity. What projects you will take ownership of: Create technical documentation, ensure communication within the team. Track progress and report to engineering managers and other senior leaders. WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT You have these minimum qualifications: Five (5) years of professional experience in Technology or a related field Four (4) years of experience with Java software engineering and related frameworks, including SpringBoot Three (3) years of experience in people management or project leadership Proficiency in other OOP languages like .NET, C#, or HTML5 Familiarity with data analysis techniques for MSSQL, MySQL, or Oracle PL/SQL database technologies Strong knowledge of Agile SDLC methodologies and managing development progress through Jira and Confluence Travel up to 10% It would be useful if you have: Bachelor's Degree, or Associate's Degree plus 6+ years of Technology related experience, or High School Degree/GED plus 12+ years of Technology related experience  Seven (7) + years of professional experience in Technology or a related field Direct experience with cloud technologies, with a preference for AWS Additional certifications or coding bootcamps to hone coding skills WHAT IT IS LIKE WORKING FOR HILTON The future of hospitality is bright at Hilton: a leading global hospitality company with a diverse portfolio of world-class brands .
