Volt is immediately hiring for an Internal Communications Expert in Santa Clara, CA ..
As an Internal Communications Expert you will:
Report into the Global Communications and Public Affairs team, the person selected for this role will be responsible for supporting communications objectives by highlighting strategies, change management initiatives, team success stories, and other issues to inform and engage the ACG team. The role will be key to driving consistent and effective communications content that helps assure understanding and alignment on high-impact business initiatives.
This individual will work closely with the President of one of our client's three major business units, to help articulate business priorities and initiatives. The work will also involve cross-functional interaction with other members of the executive leadership team.
In addition, the person selected for this role will engage with the marketing team, other business unit communications leads and members of the Global Communications team. The position reports to director of CEO communications. Key Responsibilities
Serving as the lead communicator for all internal news and initiatives.
Developing creative and informative content across a variety of platforms to support executive and group communications designed to influence and support key business objectives.
Understand the strategic objectives for the organization and develop materials that are conveyed in the "voice" of its leadership.
Serve as communications expert providing guidance and counsel for senior leadership.
Development and delivery of internal communications plans for critical projects.
Coordinating with other team members to deliver content and programs to meet program objectives and timelines.
Cross-functional collaboration with various leads to deliver a consistent approach representative of brand and strategic vision.
Driving communications initiatives to deliver maximum impact coordinated with company-wide events or initiatives and linked to important public relations and media events.
Collaborating with others to design and maintain the SharePoint site for effective communication and collaboration.
Development of PowerPoint presentations, video scripts, and other written materials to support the business unit. This may also include Q&A documents, website content, fact sheets, and other materials.
Exploring new approaches to drive team engagement and enhanced brand activation. Examples include the creative use of video, design elements, infographics, and other new tools and media content. This effort will require the ability to drive collaboration across the commercial organization and related project teams.
Handling highly sensitive and confidential information on a regular basis with a high level of discretion.
Ability to build relationships and quickly understand the organization to ensure effective collaboration, while also being able to solve problems independently.
Providing regular communications updates for operational, executive, and ad hoc reviews.
Successfully measure the progress, results, and impact of communications efforts. This is a full time contingent opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree, with a focus on communications, journalism, or public relations a plus.
Typically, 5-8 years relevant communications experience with strong focus on change management and content creation in a corporate setting.
Strong writing and content creation skills.
Solid analytical skills and orientation.
Appreciation for the value of effective marketing, branding and communications in meeting organizational objectives.
Creativity to design innovative, engaging, and effective communications content.
Exceptional judgment when handling sensitive information
Strong Microsoft PowerPoint skills and the ability to develop outstanding executive presentations.
Must be able to simultaneously focus on the big picture, tactical details, and driving results.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with demonstrated success working cross-functionally and influencing teams.
Skilled at translating complex topics into compelling, digestible stories.
Willingness to learn and apply new skills and tools. Pay Rate: $45.00 - $57.00 per hour
