SALARY The minimum salary is $64,683.95 annually.
This position is exempt and is not eligible for overtime; however, the city has a compensatory time leave program for employees that grants leave time for hours worked in excess of forty (40) hours.

FILING DEADLINE DATE The deadline to apply is Monday, April 29, 2024. GENERAL DESCRIPTION The purpose of this classification is to perform professional level analytical and technical work involving the application of independent judgement within the established policies and procedures of the Division of Human Resources. Each position has their own assigned specific portfolio of departments and divisions and are responsible for providing all human resource services to these areas.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in a field related to the job Four (4) years of related experience Additional years of related education may substitute for years of experience Additional years of related experience may substitute for years of education Partial years of credit may be granted for every 15 credit hours of education in an unrelated field ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Utilizes knowledge of various human resources functions to provide consultation and tactical support to designated business units and their employees Develops and maintains job descriptions and job architecture Administers the hiring process including, but not limited to, developing job advertisements, screening resumes/applications, scheduling or administering testing for prospective employees, extending salary offers and compensation negotiations Prepares and maintains employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, transfers or promotions using human resources management system software Participates in compensation surveys, conducts research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity, and compensation trends Prepares and delivers required reporting and filings Coordinates with HR support staff to assist with the delivery of human resource-related services and the processing and maintenance of personnel-related records Performs related work as assigned SPECIAL LICENSE/CERTIFICATION Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Society for Human Resources Management ¿ Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) preferred.
