About the Role:
We are seeking an energetic, positive and driven Director of Sales to lead sales strategies and drive revenue growth at our upscale 121-room hotel property. Our team is passionate about hospitality and fostering a fun, valued environment where you can truly make an impact.
In this key leadership role, you will spearhead aggressive business development efforts through prospecting, outside sales calls, networking and targeted marketing campaigns. You will work closely with leadership to maximize revenue, occupancy and profitability through strategic planning and revenue management.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively solicit, sell and promote the hotel to corporate, group and leisure clients
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy goals
- Conduct sales calls, site tours and prepare effective proposals/contracts
- Negotiate rates and contract terms to maximize profitability
- Build and nurture client relationships to drive repeat/referral business
- Manage an active pipeline, participating in at least 60 qualified sales activities bi-weekly
- Oversee the Sales Coordinator role and hotel's advertising/social media
- Handle administrative tasks like CRM updates, reporting, data entry
- Represent the hotel at tradeshows, conventions and networking events
- Stay current on market trends, competitive landscape and product knowledge
- Collaborate cross-functionally and assist with additional operational projects
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Director of Sales experience in upscale/luxury hotels OR 3+ years as a Business Travel/Group Sales Manager
- Proven success in corporate transient and group sales
- Highly motivated and results-driven with a forte in closing sales
- Experience with hotel sales systems/tools (iVvy, Delphi, ChoiceAdvantage) preferred
- Exceptional relationship management, organization and time management abilities
- Positive attitude with a passion for hospitality and guest service
- Strong collaboration and partnership-building skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and professional presentation
