Hospice, Director of Education, Learning and Development Location : Remote, with travel. Must live in Texas or Oklahoma.
Searching for someone who has been in a learning and development role, hospice and/or home health industry focused candidate only. The Hospice, Director of Education, Learning and Development is responsible for the development of clinical training, EMR software training, implementation / conversion, company-wide: 30-50% travel, designing curriculum and directing educational programs that promote professional excellence for all clinical roles.
Qualified candidates will be required to give some detailed examples of how they have created and implemented a training. Essential Duties: Provide technical training and support of the electronic medical record for new employees and conversion to the EMR for new agencies Develop educational curriculum and specialized training programs to enhance understanding of and compliance with hospice regulatory requirements Assist in planning and implementation of new employee field orientation. Develop and implement Clinical New Hire orientation. Participate, as requested, in development of written staff educational materials for all levels of staff. Contribute observations and data regarding joint visits, orientation, training and competency issues. Monitors and evaluates the quality of the training delivery. Coordinates with other departments within Hospice Qualifications: Registered Nurse with a Valid RN License, Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) or an equivalent combination of education and experience; MSN preferred. Experience in Hospice and Palliative Care Experience required in facilitating clinical or related training experience, EMR experience and learning management systems experience. Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning theories, methods and techniques as they apply to training/education, assessment practices and on-the-job training. Outstanding facilitation and presentation skills, both individually and in large groups Highly organized, able to prioritize multiple job responsibilities and exercise critical thinking in a fast-paced, high-demand work environment. Demonstrate initiative and independent judgment. Ability to travel up to 50%. Proficient in Excel and MS Word Proficient with Hospice EMR
