Expected Duration : 1 year Job Type: Full Time 40 Hours Contract, Onsite Payrate: [16- 17/hr]
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Worker Schedule:
7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday, no weekends
Position Description: Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Sampling genetically engineered plant tissue for DNA and Protein testing to screen for traits of interest. Planting engineered cotton seeds and maintaining suitable conditions for proper growth. Preparing buffer solution to extract protein from cotton leaf. Assisting in plant selection, transplanting, plant placement, trashing plants, and plant care. Candidates must work well with others, pay attention to detail, and be able to stand for long periods of time. Additional Responsibilities: Must be able to work in hot greenhouse environment. Adhere to established safety, health and environmental policies and procedures. Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards in the work area. Follow all safety and stewardship regulations.
