Then, Undergraduate Admissions at Southern Illinois University Carbondale wants to meet you! SIU Admissions is seeking FieldRepresentatives to aid in recruiting undergraduate students from Texas. We offer a supportive atmosphere with the tools tosucceed. 
Examples of Duties 1. Conduct outreach and recruitment to Undergraduate students that directlyimpacts yield efforts, while managing assigned territories. 
2. Advise and inform prospective students, parents, schoolcounselor, and public about SIU Carbondale. 
3. Develop working relationships with counselors, counseling staff, advisors, andkey stakeholders during scheduled visits to high schools and community colleges, includes day and evening hours. 
4. Buildrelationships with community-based organizations in the territory with the purpose of building a recruitment pipeline; provide expertise oncollege selection process and financial aid scholarships. 
5. Systematically follow-up with students within an individualterritory by contacting them through email, phone, mail, and social media. 
6. Access and retrieve student data from the Bannersystem, Slate (CRM), Degree Works, and Navigate to use during an appointment, phone call or other inquiry. 
7. Individuallyrecord school visits and college fairs into the Undergraduate Admissions CRM and calendar system. 
8. Assist students in gaininga basic understanding of the College's admission requirements, registration process, and processes that need to be completed by thestudent. 
9. Develop a knowledge base of all facets of the university, including knowledge of degree requirements, prerequisitesneeded for degree programs, and University Core Curriculum requirements for specific degree programs. 
10. Assist students ininterpreting and understanding placement scores, program curricula, and prerequisites. 
11. Assist admitted students withregistration and record interactions in Slate (CRM). 
12. Coordinate with advisors regarding scheduling questions andclarification. 
13. Teach students how to use Banner Self-Registration to build and manage the class schedule and Degree Worksas a degree audit tool to track degree progress. 
14. Provide financial planning support for admitted students. 
15.Assist in coordination of special events, including but not limited to, on-campus Open Houses, off-campus previews, off-campus advisementand registration dates. 
16. Work with leadership in creating recruitment plans and targets for each school, college, andterritory. 
17. Maintain regular office hours in a designated on-campus space or approved work site. 
18. Maintainprofessional standards regarding personal behavior. 
19. Appropriate and ethical use and maintenance of university resourceswithin university, state, and federal regulations. 
20. Participate in special projects and ongoing professional trainingthroughout the year. 
21. Use and manage a Procurement Card to cover travel expenses. 
22. Other duties asassigned. 
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: 1.) Bachelor's Degreewith 1 year of experience in higher education, community-based organization, sales, customer service, or closely related professionalsetting. 
2.) The ability to travel regularly and to load and transport admissions material, displays, and other recruitingequipment. 
3.) Evening and weekend hours required. 
4.) Strong public speaking skills. 
5.) Ability tocommunicate effectively, verbally, and in writing. 
6.) Experience working with diverse populations. 
7.) Validdriver's license.
