Job DescriptionThe lab of Dr. Eric Stallknecht is looking for a motivated field and laboratory aid starting in March 2024. This is an off-campus position at the Hampton Roads Research and Extension Center (1444 Dimond Springs Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23455). The laboratory desires an individual looking to gain knowledge about greenhouse production and experience working in a research laboratory. The selected individual will work on two main research projects 1) evaluating crops under photoselective shade materials and 2) the evaluation of hydroponically grown greenhouse lettuce. Successful field and laboratory aides are highly self-motivated and capable of working independently. Additional information about the position can be found below. Past experience in horticulture, greenhouses, or agriculture is desirable but not required.Required QualificationsSuccessful field and laboratory aides are highly self-motivated and capable of working independently.
