Ascendis Pharma is looking to hire an Executive Assistant to execute a variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion, professional polish, and interpersonal effectiveness. This position will have a broad range of responsibilities at various levels including interfacing with top executive management and internal/external stakeholders. An exemplary candidate will have a proven ability to independently handle multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines. The ideal candidate is also dynamic, organized, possesses strong multi-tasking skills, and exhibits a general interest pharma/biotech. This position reports to the Executive Vice President of Clinical Development Oncology and is based in Palo Alto. This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing, innovative company!
Responsibilities & Main tasks Provide heavy calendar management and serve as the primary gatekeeper for the EVP of Clinical Development Oncology' s schedule, liaising with internal and external stakeholders – comfortable working in multiple international time zones Schedules and coordinates executive meetings, conference calls, and other special events, logistics, secure materials in advance, technical/audio requirements, catering, etc. Arranges domestic, international travel, developing itineraries agendas, booking transportation and hotel arrangements Prepare, track and ensures timely submission of expense reports and purchase orders Assists with interview scheduling and coordination to ensure a smooth candidate experience. Serves as backup to Executive Assistants as needed Requirements 5+ years related experience in the capacity of an Executive Assistant supporting an EVP is strongly preferred Bachelor's degree preferred Desire to grow and take on projects and work under pressure while consistently meeting deadlines Highly organized, with an attention to detail Ability to establish course of action to accomplish goals and evaluate results, develop schedules and orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish goals, and use resources effectively and efficiently Strong analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact well with people inside and outside of the organization with diplomacy, tact and efficiency Demonstrated proficiency with tools including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint required A high degree of professionalism and demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality  Great verbal and communication skills Able to work independently and with a team $45-55/hr DOE A note to recruiters: We do not allow external search party solicitation.
